SuperMn106
We have this turtle in our pond and see him everytime we go out to feed the fish bread. I could only get some pics of his head. I know that is it not a snapper and do not know much else about turtles. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

SuperMn106
Snapper? Little blurry to tell. I didnt think it was a snapper because I though snappers had a pointed noise?

Tom2008
He looks like a snapper to me too. I'm sure those better pictures will justify it though.
Guest Andrea
That's a softshell. Have caught a ton of those things. My husband loves to eat them. Says they are better than any fish he's ever eaten. ( GAG!!!!!)
Bachflock
That's a softshell. Have caught a ton of those things. My husband loves to eat them. Says they are better than any fish he's ever eaten. ( GAG!!!!!) LOL Andrea!! Ever try it?! Pretty tasty! I'm not so sure on the soft shell... the soft shells around here have lighter skin and much pointer noises than this one. I'm leaning toward a snapper.
wtnhunt
Better pics would be good, but another vote for a snapper here.
Tominator
Pic of the shell would help, but definitely looks like a snapper to me.
billkay
My first thought was a soft shell.
christsavedme
I am going with the snapper/loggerhead vote.....the softshells we catch have a lot pointer nose! Maybe the new pics will prove me wrong! LOL
hoosierhunter
softshell came to mine. Just watched the neighbor at the lake clean one on the 4th and that head looks pretty familiar...
Guest bowhuntr_15
its just my opinion...again!! But its definately a loggerhead/snapper!! I trapped turtles for a couple of years and learnt some stuff....and first of all look in the sec. pic, you can tell how much bigger the head is than the neck.....and also the bigger eyes(kinda poke out much farther than the softshell)......and the nose is too short to be a softshell!!!! But if some better pics prove me wrong then sorry I made you read that!!! But I about 99% sure it is a loggerhead/snapper!!!
