I'm stupid

Last night on the news the weather girl said code red air quality today. Don't go out if you don't have to. But I had a tee time and 18 holes in front of me. I got to the course at 9:15 and the thermometer outside the club house said 95, and that was in the shade. We played the front 9 and it didn't seem too bad, we had a cart this time and it was nice and breezy. We started the back nine and the breeze must've decided it was too hot and went inside or something. Around hole 14 we noticed we were the only 2 on the back side. Finally, mercifully we finished 18 and I finished off the last of the 12 bottles of water I brought for us. By now, the thermometer read 103(!), still in the shade. No telling what the heat index was. We decided to take a break from playing until the heat wave has tamed down a bit. I forget that I'm still recovering from the blood clots in my lungs, but days like this certainly remind me.

BTW, I shot 120 most of the strokes were on the back 9 after I officially stopped caring.

LOL....I played this morning at 8 and finished right at 11. It was 97 and 107 heat index when we finished. Drank a glass of water at every hole.

Glad you made it through :)
