I have a 01 dodge ram 1500 5.2l v8 and i believe the tranny is a 46re. 10 inches of lift sittin on 38.5s. 3 years ago the o/d solenoid which bolts to the valve body on the bottum of the tranny crapped out on me. Had it replaced all was fine. A month ago i had the same problems as before. Replaced the solenoid and transducer. along with the filter and a new pan. Here's my problem. The Tranny was overheating during this problem. With a new solenoid the tranny is still overheating. Any Suggestions?

Here she is in her prime. Some of you may remember this pic.

I can't see it not having a tranny cooler, basically all automatics do. The cooler or lines may have become plugged. I'd be taking the lines off and trying to backflush the cooler.

This is what I would suggest too ... I bet this will fix your problem ... if you smoked the tranny you probbly had some sediment get stuck in the lines ... GL with it

You might need an added external transmission cooler. That is a lot of extra stress and heat on the transmission with the lift and tires.

The trans cooler was my first thought too. Would check this first. Had issues with a chevy years ago with the trans heating up. We put a heavy duty external trans cooler on it, and it solved that problem.
