SuperMn106 Posted August 19, 2007 Report Share Posted August 19, 2007 Did anyone watch this game tonight? I wanted to watch it because one, I am a Lions fan and also a Brady Quinn fan. I caught the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. Brady came in with 9 minutes to go. He looked really sharp. The boy has a cannon for an arm. He led his team on 2 touchdown drives. He will be a GREAT NFL quarterback and was the best quarterback taken in the draft. period. I know it is only pre season but he looked real good. I hate to feed muggs with hope and optimisim but the browns did lose to the lions . Both Anderson and Frye looked awful, and Quinn look very, very good like you said. I realize he's running against the 2nd and 3nd string Lions defense so I take his stats with a grain of salt, but I was really impressed with his poise and swagger. He's got the "it" all good NFL QB's have. If you take out the intentional spikes to stop the clock, I think he was 13-16 and two of the incompletions were dropped by his recievers. Like you said it was against 2nd and 3rd stringers but also like you said, the poise and swagger is there. IMO, Brady Quinn without a doubt should be the starter in the regular season. And Eric I know you think he should be sitting this season but, there is no way that is happening. He'll be in there by week 8 at the latest. muggs Posted August 20, 2007 Report Share Posted August 20, 2007 Yup, I agree John. Ideally, I'd love to just have him hold a clipboard and learn the NFL game that way first. But with what Frye and DA have shown, I'm changing my mind. I think our bye is week 6, so I'd like to see him start week 7...no sooner though. I think Lewis is going to have a nice year. Hopefully we can just play some good D and contral the clock and win a couple of those first 6. This team is really one position away from being competitive, and that's the QB. btw- I hear Quinn bench 225 lbs. 24 times at his pro day... that's nuts.
