Steven
And just like that, it appears I'm a college student. I've been promising myself since I graduated H.S. (14 years ago ) that I would continue my education. It now seems I can finally say I kept that promise to myself. I even feel smarter than I did a mere 3 hours ago. After talking to my admissions rep, I decided to change from Computer Networking to Computer and Electronics Engineering. We based that on my history as an electrician, prior understanding of electrical circuits and the fact that I prefer hands on stuff rather than sitting at a desk typing. I just have to go back Thurs and finalize some financial aid stuff, but I'm essentially in. I took that licken... licken.. uhh, some kind of test and they said I did great. So, come mid September I'll be back in school. Thanks for all the kind words in my other post about this subject, and it seems the next adventure will be beginning shortly. OJR
I think that was a wise move. That was the field that I have a degree in and enjoyed it until I took a promotion to "Director of Manufacturing"! That was the dumbest thing I have ever done! Prior to that, I worked as a test engineer and my thing was designing test equipment and programs for testing printed circuit boards! I should have stayed right there! Live and learn! Good luck on the new career!
