Steven Posted January 2, 2005 Report Share Posted January 2, 2005 I have tried to get to sleep, but I can't, so I started digging through folders on the computer and I found 2 really funny things I wrote. One has been posted before and I think it's what made me a legend on the tree. The story of Raxio! I'm sure alot of you remember. Fabio was on my flight that day. Of course, it was a flight to L.A... “Fabio’s here, Fabio’s here, my God, it’s Fabio!” And those were the guys. Everyone, everyone, everyone knew who he was. And, I thought to myself “huh, it’s a Fabio world. It’s a big strong-jawed, blonde hair blowing in the wind, rose for the lady, ‘are you two sisters’ Fabio world.” “Fabio’s on board and he’s eating a small package of salted peanuts. I wish he would eat me!” And those were the guys. It is a Fabio world, but, you know what. It’s also a Raxio world! I am Raxio! I fall asleep with the T.V. on, I hate reggae music. I am Raxio. I eat spaghetti for breakfast, I call my mom collect, she doesn’t mind, she knows I’m Raxio. I get drunk and cynical; twice a year I get so drunk I piss the bed. But, I don’t care, because I am Raxio. As we exit the plane, there was Fabio. I couldn’t believe he was still on board, I somehow thought he would’ve got there ahead of us. He went with the man with a sign that said “Fabio”; I went with the man with the sign that said “taxi”. And as we were picking up our luggage, our eyes locked and he gave me a look as if to say “I’m Fabio, I stand before you strong, but, inside I am Fabio, merchant of self loathing. I will be discarded one day, Rax, in the bin with Rico Suave’ and the good looking guy from CHiPs. Now this is just a bunch of nonsense I wrote years ago (before I quit drugs). Enjoy and know that I don't understand it either. The monkies are loose. And full of beans, sounds like to me. I let ‘em loose. I mean, out of their cages, and I keep ‘em in there- locked up in that room. If I was to ever let them monkies outside of this house, they’d be running this town inside a week. I think I’ll let ‘em out. Hehehe, just kiddin’. I wouldn’t wish these monkies on my worst enemy. These aren’t cute monkies. Nah. They’re more like them monkies from “Wizard from Oz”, only they ain’t got no wings and they smells bad. These are vicious, mean-spirited monkies. I saw a couple of ‘em get a hold of a dog once. Oh boy. I worked for 30 years over at the furniture department over at the Eaton’s. Can’t tell me everyone in this town didn’t look down on me. Worked for commission. I was lucky to bring home 300 bucks a month. Now I run the whole dang furniture department, and, I live in Bobby Orr’s house. People think I got the power cause I got them monkies. Nope. I got the power cause I’ll let the monkies loose. They don’t understand me. They don’t understand that and they don’t understand me. But, that’s okay, that’s alright, see.
