Mil Posted August 24, 2007 Report Share Posted August 24, 2007 I shoot an easton xx75 2314 arrow 27" long from a hoyt bow set @ 60#.Do you think the bohning 2" blazer would shoot good thru my wisker biscuit or should I go to 4" vanes.Should I get the shrink wraps or put them on w/ my fletching jigs.Thanks Mil. If it were me, I'd put regular wraps on em with the blazers. Have read enough bad reviews on the shrink wraps to keep me from getting any. They have a higher profile then normal 4 inch vanes, so you just want to make sure with the larer arrow shaft that you are shooting (larger compared to most carbons) that you have no issues with clearence in the WB, but you should be fine. I would personally reccomend fletching them yourself in a jig rather then the shrink wrap ones. I have heard alot of people that liek them, but from my personal experience, I didn't have a lot of luck and ended up having to redo all of mine. Good luck. Guest mikemcd Posted August 26, 2007 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 i had a wb and was happy with the function but not the limited options on fletchings. went for a ripcord and am extremely happy with the switch. with that said, it is super easy to fletch your own arrows. i just got into this 6 months ago and am fletching arrows with no problems at all and minimal cost. the shrink ones deformed too quickly. blazers with wraps are doing great.
