bluelund79
My Dad and I are starting to plan either an 08 or an 09 Antelope (Pronghorn) hunt. We are just getting the preliminaries down. Couple of questions... 1. Recommendations on States 2. Good/Bad Outfitters We are looking for a guided hunt, as I don't have time to scout (active military), Dad is getting up there in years, so yes nice accomodations would be good. Money isn't a huge factor, but would like to keep it under $4,000 per person. All inclusive isn't necessary as we both can cook-just somewhere to sleep w/ a comfortable bed, etc. Thank you in advance, Eric
silvertip_co
Its easy. Just attend the 2008 Realtree Wyoming Antelope Hunt at Steve B's place. It'll be a great get together.
Guest Colorado Bob
Blue-----for that kind of money you are talking BC bucks in either NM or TX. You can get landowners tags in NM for sure. A DIY hunt is WY----lots of antelope-----but big BC are harder to finf than hen's teeth. IMO----antelope is the most fun hunt there is. I would go to WY on a DIY. Lots of antelope---so if you blow a stalk no big deal----there's anohter group around the bend. Plus antelope make the prettiest mount there is. stevebeilgard
merve grizwold in wyoming is great. lots of good land. or, check out antelopeoutfitters.com, my old business. a goat hunt should cost under 2,000. i used to charge 3,000, but i produced. i'd totally suggest wyoming. we have more antelope than all the other states put together. and more goats than people. 51% public land, but since you're not scared to spend a few bucks, i'd go with an outfitter. pm me if you need more help
