yesterday, not my day

Well I got up early going to try and finish up my lawn work before the rain hit. Liked about 45 mins getting done with the mowing, and I broke a belt on the mower. I was not going to let that get to me. Drove the Mule down to the shed and hauled back the Swisher pull behind mower to finish the job. Pulled the starter rope to start it..... rope broke:mad:. Took it apart and retied the rope. Pulled it again and broke the teeth off that engage the motor. Now I'am getting upset. I only had about 5 mins worth of weedeating to do, so I though I would finish it atleast. Pulled on it for a couple of mins but wouldn't start. Finally relized I didn't have the switch to start and flooded it. I just gave up and put it all up until latter in the week. I better keep my job, because lawn care doesn't look like my strong point:D

LOL--I feel your pain.

I had a similar instance yesterday. We got a good rain Saturday and Sunday, so I decided to put the fertilizer down.

So I get in the garage, get the spreader, and I noticed the tire was nearly flat. No problem, I crank up the compressor, grab the end, and there's no tip on it. So I search around a little, give up, go in and question the kids, because, no doubt, one of them was fiddling with it. So I storm into the house "WHO TOOK THE TIRE ATTACHMENT OFF THE COMPRESSOR???"

Blank stares from 3 of the 4 children. The 5 year old is the culprit, and of course, he doesn't remember where he put it. So I turn to my girl. "Get me your ball pump." Blank stare. I said "find it so my day isn't a total waste..."

Brother #1 came out with it 10 minutes later so I finally got the fert. down. :D
