Palssonater
Well our Ranger Patrol group has a couple of winter exercises planned for this winter. Beginning of december we'll be heading out on snowmobiles to camp on a remote lake. Should be a fun 60mile run on the sleds. So because it is in december in Northern Canada I finally antied up and bought some winter sleeping gear. Got a new Wiggy's -40 sleeping bag combo on the way along with an army cot package that has the cot stand, sleeping pad, side table and cot all included. That darn bag was expensive. Hopefully keeps me warm! I love ordering stuff from Cabela's. Very much a guilty pleasure. The wife is in Northern Alberta right now so I won't tell her until she gets back. :-) We are also looking at supervising The Northern Quest dogsled race this year. It is similar to Alaska's Ititarod race. It would be awesome to travel from Gillam to Churchill to Arviat by snowmobile.
buckee
That sure sounds like a real adventure In my younger days, I would have loved to do something like that. Have fun, be safe, and take lots of pictures It's an opportunity most folks don't get
