Tony Posted September 13, 2007 Report Share Posted September 13, 2007 yep i just made a post on how i like to have everything the same from last year. i had the same sight, same rest, same arrows and same bow. accuracy was great as usual and i was looking forward to a stress free shooting and getting ready for broadheads. UNTIL.... yesterday i noticed that my string was starting to wear a little around my peep. actually my peep is cutting my string. im thinking great its going to take me a bunch of arrows and a new string to get my hunting bow ready its too close to hunting season to play that game so i broke out my backup 3d bow a 2004 Hoyt Ultratec. i bought a new sight for it a Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg It. it has 5 .019 pins and is micro adjustable. so tomorrow im off to sight the Ultratec in and see how it shoots my hunting arrows. it was well tuned for my 3d arrows so im betting i wont have much to do. i hope. cant believe i have my peep cutting my string on the Protec. i will have to order a new string from WolfDen Strings and probably a new peep as well or find out why my old one suddenly started to cut my string. geez not a good start to getting my gear dialed in for bow season. i figured i was done, now with just 2 weeks away i have to start all over again. We were at Buckhorn archery last weekend and you couldn't get in the door.
