I deleted it off from my camera. I do have it as my desktop background. Anyone know what folder this file is kept in? Running Win98se if anyone needs that info. Thanks! DSGB Posted January 4, 2005 Report Share Posted January 4, 2005 Re: Background I know the directory for XP is C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper. It will be in a subfolder of the C:\WINDOWS directory. I'm not sure the exact path for Win 98. You could do a search for files of the same type. If it's a JPEG image, you can do a search for '*.jpg' and it will find all files with the .jpg extension. (I am assuming you don't know the file name for the pic) Then go to the "Find" or "Search" option (usually listed somewhere in the start menus.) and search for that file name....if you don't know the file's extension use a wildcard (*). I know you can right click over no icons, just the center of the screen and select properties to bring up your background, but not sure if under the walpaper if it will give you the name. It might.
