Teal are sure hard to hit with the goose setup, but it's tough on the honkers. Decent day in the stalks. And the last day, 2 limits by 7:45. Oh so sweet. . .. None of our corn fields were picked before the early season was over so nothing really worked out for us here. We had several other farmers that said they could get us permission to hunt some fields but it just didn't work out. That's just how it goes sometimes. How did your Colorado trip go? Had a 4x4 spooked off by a farm hand on neighboring private land as it was on it way in at 70 yards the first evening. Had a pair of cows and a calf make the wrong turn (right for them) at 30 yards w/ me at full draw. . . swirling winds. Last evening had a pair of 5x5's coming out at 35 yards, spooked by another farm hand to head back into the buckbrush. That was the real close calls. . . . had bugling bulls at 80 yards in the timber and several other instances where a different move would've send arrows sailing but it just wouldnt come together. An awesome trip though! Planning next years trip already. . . . you interested? i'll gaurantee a good time and would be a great chance at a elk of some size. I would love to chase those Colorado bulls...I might have to break out the compound though...not sure if I would be willing to take the ole longbow.
