I agree that he is only apologizing for fear of losing money. I would accept his apology, because, forgiveness is the greatest gift you can give, but wouldn't do business there anymore. Taking the free release would be wrong unless you plan on remaining a customer.

It's now day 3 of trying to set something up with this proshop, I called today and his wife said he was unavailable and didn't know when he would be free to call me back...Well I guess it's time to find something new and wash my hands of this situation.

By the way I'm still in need of a good used little bitty goose with the buckle strap ....... cool.gifcool.gifcool.gif

I sorta feel the same way. He knows that you all are going to tell others what happened and he will loose business...thats the only reason he is trying now. Nope! After he would have done this to me. I would take the release, and never darken his doorway ever again! Who knows how many people he has done this too! I know a few people who conduct business like this and I will never shop there! This is one of the reasons I bought my bow at Cabela's. They did just fine in helping me to choose the right equipment! I been taken advantaged one too many times by these so called PRO SHOPS! There are not many around my area so they know they have the area by the neck! BUT NOT WITH ME! They did this to themselves, they have been slowly losing business, and been going out of business!

For those PRO shops that conduct business this way I hope they all go out of business!!! Treat me with respect, help me gain the knowlegde to make me better understand, and NEVER try to take advantage of my wallet!!! mad.gif

I had this same experince with computers. I then taught myself and took calsses to work on my own computer and just got better at it, and to never be taken advantage of by another tech again.

So I guess I'll just have to grow and learn how to mantience my own equipment, I'm a pretty quick study and with the help of my good buddies in here I'll be ok, and good to go... smile.gifsmile.gifcool.gif

I guess I'll be the only one........but I'd tell him to STICK IT. Just because he doesn't want to lose your fathers business, shouldn't be an excuse for he to change his tune.

The guy didn't want to help you out, he's not concern about you, he's just covering his own ****. Take your business elsewhere. He owns a proshop, he should know that people need to try out things first.

I'd go back in............ shoot every release he has...... Twice............ and leave without buying a thing.

Then I'd wait two weeks............ go back in........ and ask him if he had learned anything in the past 14 days.

If he's still unapproachable go elsewhere...... at least you know what release you like. If he learned his lesson....and you as well......... life is good.

Having a local shop is worth alot............ a bad one isn't worth much.

I don't think I'm lacking much of anything....First to be treated in the manner that I was, after spending over a grand in this guy's shop, and sending my friends there...and trying to resolve this issue with 4 attempts on my part just to be ignored with no returned phone calls...I really don't see where I owe this guy a darn thing .....All I can say is that he can keep his release and my business as well as my fathers and all our friends will be doing business else where...period... mad.gif

We're gone...Yes Shawn...The whole crew including my father are moving on to a different proshop, hopefully with better results than we had with this one...
