wtnhunt
Yep, think it was posted in the rifle room not too long back, and it was mentioned that the shooter might have been trying to become an off the porch member:rolleyes:

stevebeilgard
i've seen the clip before. i'm a bit negative. i've seen lots of ricochets, but never a 180 degree ricochet. usually 30 degrees takes care of a richochet. but i am unframiliar with a metal target and it's qualites. still, a 180 degree turn seems impossible to me. OJR
180 Degree Ricochet i've seen the clip before. i'm a bit negative. i've seen lots of ricochets, but never a 180 degree ricochet. usually 30 degrees takes care of a ricochet. but i am unframiliar with a metal target and it's qualites. still, a 180 degree turn seems impossible to me. My oldest son can verify a 180 degree ricochet from a 30-06 shot at a 3" angle iron at about 50 yards! It came back and hit right in the middle of the forehead! Didn't break any skin but knocked him COLD! I wasn't anymore that 20 feet from him and I thought he was shooting at a target we had down in a draw! Instead, he shot the angle iron! At first I thought he was dead! I got over to him and there was a lump on his forehead the size of a golf ball! He was out for just a couple of minutes! We took him to ER and they x-rayed his skull and everything was OK! The next day his whole forehead was black and blue! They can come right back at you! Be careful!
