wildthing Posted November 9, 2007 Report Share Posted November 9, 2007 :Dfellas...I had a pretty unique encounter the other day with a buck. I was coming home from work about 6 pm...so it was dark. I was about 2 miles from my house when I saw a buck walk out of my neighbor's yard and onto the road as I was coming up the hill. I clicked up the high beams and put them on the buck who was simply standing on the side of the road. He was a nice young 8 point, good genetics and great potential. The funny thing was, he didn't spook or run, he simply turned and started walking up the road, with me about 10 feet behind him shining my headlights. His walk turned into a slow trot as he proceeded right down the middle of the road for about 1/2 a mile! I simply drove behind him the whole way until he finally got off the road and went over into a pasture. I was a very unique encounter that I won't forget anytime soon.
