Swamphunter Posted November 17, 2007 Report Share Posted November 17, 2007 My family was just informed that my mother has once again been diagnosed with cancer. She has been fighting this for 8 years and it seems that now it has metastasized into some of her other organs, and the doctors aren't giving her much hope at this point. They said that her cancer is one of the fastest growing and spreading types of cancer there is. (I'm not sure what it is exactly) She is scheduled for a full body MRI next week to determine the extent, but she has been losing weight recently and we are concerned the cancer may be causing this. This is such horrible news as most of you are aware that her mother just died on September 18th, and we are still living with the pain from that. I am sorry I haven't been around much, and I apologize to my teammates (Team #1 B.B.D), but it seems my hunting season may well be over. I am helping my parents with the doctors visits and the traveling for chemo treatments once they start, along with helping my aging father with the surgery recovery for her. I still hope to sneak out hunting from time to time to clear my head, but other than my doe, I wouldn't count on a buck from me. Prayers for your entire family, especially your mom. My mom is ten years cancer-free since tackling breast cancer, and I know that the thought of recurrence never goes away.
