Poacher Antics......

Got a call from the farmer this morning.... he saw a nice 8pt laying dead in one of the fields 100yds from the road. One bullet hole (looks like a rifle wound, rifles are not legal in this part of the state) in the neck, no blood trail. Looks like it dropped in its tracks. Its a shame cuz he would of been a great lookin buck next year, he was pretty young yet. One of us tagged it so at least it didnt go to waste.....its just frustrating , the lack of respect for the animal and the property owner!! Luckily none of the cows were shot, this all took place not far from the cow pasture.

Man, I hate poachers. The anger grows even more toward them, when you see them leaving animals lay like that. They've got enough guts to shoot them at night. You'd think they'd have enough guts to take what they shot.

there is a lot of poaching going on around here too.. its hard to catch them because by the time the warden or police gets there they could be long gone

We have a poaching problem near where I hunt as well, really gets me steamed. I just don't feel that there is enough that we can do about it...without taking matters into our own hands, ya know?

we have the same problume, im so sick of it, theres a county rd that runs through our lease, and we found the neck and head of a spike in the road, in ark spikes can only be shot if they are 2 inches or less this one had 6 inch spikes, so who ever shot it knew darn well it was to long to kill, makes you want to beat the cra- out of them,

That is a shame. Sure do wish that there were stiffer penalties on poachers and that there was enough manpower to catch all of them.
