muggs
If Andruw can give me 20+ HR's and 100+ RBI's, he could strike out 50% of the time if he wants. blinded by your love of stats my man. I don't care if a guy hits the nice round, comforting # of 100 RBI- if he's getting 2 RBI's to make a 9-1 game a 9-3 game. Come playoff time, I want guys who make contact. I guess what I mean is, that if a guy has 18 HR's and 87 RBI and he comes through when it counts, those 2 less HR's and 13 RBI- spread out over the span of a 162 game season really don't mean much to me, they just won't look as pretty on the stat sheet. Like I said though, Jones is an upgrade over Pierre, I just hope they keep Pierre in the lineup by moving him to LF. That guy can really set the table. MCH
And, if you want to talk young CF's, Chris Young from the Diamondbacks is a 30-30 guy with potential for 40-40. Don't make me bring up Matt Kemp. :D
muggs
Don't make me bring up Matt Kemp. :D You mean the guy the Dodgers are trying to trade all the time but nobody wants?? That Matt Kemp??
MCH
You mean the guy the Dodgers are trying to trade all the time but nobody wants?? That Matt Kemp?? LMAO...you must be totally ignorant to all the trade talk going around, or else you would realize that every dang team that we talk trades with wants Matt Kemp. EVERYONE. Kemp and Kershaw. Kemp and Kershaw. We have yet to have a single trade partner not want those two in a package. The Dodgers would rather trade Ethier or Pierre but everyone wants Kemp. Yeah, I'll be the first to admit I'm "ignorant" to all the trade talk- because I'm not a MLB GM ya DB. I'm just messing with you, which, when it comes to the Dodgers and Matt Kemp, is very easy...very easy.

buckbuster11
I'm glad you DB's know you know who knows he knows we both know we know. Sounds like a wonderful marriage if you ask me. Anyway muggs makes a good point. The only thing clutch about Jones is his defense except way back when he was 12 and ran into a couple big jacks in the World Series. You can't strike out as much as he does and be relaible in any big situation.
craig mack
Yeah, Granderson had a very nice year, but come on super. Honestly, Grady Sizemore has more speed, more power, is a much better fielder, and a much better baserunner...he's as throwback as they come and he plays the game right. The only real knock on Grady is his arm strenght which is really only average. And, if you want to talk young CF's, Chris Young from the Diamondbacks is a 30-30 guy with potential for 40-40. btw- the park he plays his home games in has a lot to do with Granderson's 20+ triples. Dude your such a homer!!!! But so am I. Didnt Grady lead the league in strike outs last year? If he didnt I know he was close. They're both really good young centerfielders. The CoPa's centerfield is HUGE and no one plays it better than Granderson.

MCH
6 is more than our centerfielder from last year hit. Andruw will come around. He's getting walks and making plays in center, the HR's will start coming. Even so, you've got to love an outfield platoon of Andruw, Pierre, Kemp and Ethier.
