New Oklahoma proposed regulations

Just heard that they're thinking about raising the tag limit for bow in Oklahoma from 4 to 6. Of course they'll be keeping everything else the same as far as buck/doe tags, but at least we may be able to harvest 6 deer with our bows outside of ML or rifle season.

Also, they are proposing changing the Jan 1-15th hunt to either sex.:D

Needless to say, I'm for both. It helps that I have two buck tags left and the odds of me filling both before Jan 1st is slim to none.:D

That works for me!!!!!! I saw two bucks on some public land close to the house this weekend, and I NEVER thought I would see them this time of year there, and would LOVE to get a chance toi put an arrow through either one of them

Id be all for that. Uping the limit wouldnt help my area though. I use to see upwards of 40+ deer at a time. Granted that is over populated but now if I see 4 running together its something. I think the does are starting to get thin in my area.....

The one rule I wish the would catch up on..... point rule.

That'll definitely help, but I hope they keep the bow only WMA's just that, bow only.

Ben

I'm pretty sure that's their intentions. I know I hunt a couple of those bow-only WMA's and it would literally kill me to hear that they were going to gun as well.

Its a big deal around here, because of Three Rivers. We're talking about 450,000 acres of public land that has been closed during the second week of deer season.
