davetucker
what a tough year it seems to be for so many people.christmas has gotten way to comercialised.when i see friends that are depressed cuz the price of oil has brought the oil bill up another 600 buck total for the winter.that for a family on a budget means some kids has to go without, all along the big corparates are opening they're mercedes,or getting the keys to their brand new camp.how can that even be right.everything has gone up except for the pay scale.well fortunatly we did well this year but alot off others around me aren't,so i did a little extra for everybody else this year.sorry for the babbling but it hurts to sit back and watch people get depressed over what they can buy and what they can't.i think the real reason for the christmas needs to come back out,so this year on christmas eve my family won't be attending any parties, instead we are going to be with eachother bake cookies, sing caroles, and just enjoy family time together.sorry for the babbleing had to get it out,but merrychristmas to all.. buckee
Yeah, I know what you mean. Christmas never has been Party time around here, and I like it that way. Stay home, stay safe, enjoy the company you're with and give thanks.
stevebeilgard
we just stay home, do very little drinking, lots of eating, and enjoy the kids & grandkids. that's what it's all about anyway. not a big party and a truckload of gifts... Turkeygirl
I agree Christmas has gotten too commercialized. Christmas isn't all about the material things...it's about celebraing Christ's birth...and He gave us a bigger gift, more than we ever deserve. I too just stay at home, we eat lots of food, open our gifts, andj ust relax.
arrow32
This year we have stepped back I believe. Up at the church we have been talking about putting Christ back in Christmas. We have been reaching out to others and made a pledge to help and give more than we recieve. To be honest I always help people but now it seems like I'm even more joyful doing so. Merry Christmas!!! hogwild63
sigh... I feel their pain... I feel your pain... I feel my pain... Then again, man we are blessed!!!!!! Sit back and realize that God left his Throne to come down to earth in human form to feel OUR pain. Merry Christmas!!
