wadeocu
My biggest buck ever that is; not a monster by most standards, but it's as close as I have ever come to taking one. I killed him at 3:30 in the afternoon on 12/15 near Robinsonville, MS inside the levee of the Mississippi River. It was a 150 yard shot with a 30-06 through thick bottom land cover. I looked for him for an hour and a half only to find him 15 yards from where I shot him at the edge of some thick brush. He was pretty well hidden from view. The bullet hit a rib and went in between his skin and shoulder on the other side - no exit wound. There was no real blood trail to follow, just a couple of spots where he was standing when I shot. I convinced myself that I had blown the shot! I was excited to find him to say the least. Turns out it was an ideal double lung shot. Any thoughts on score and age? I was thinking 110-120 and 3.5 or 4.5, but that's a fairly uneducated guess. You guys seem to know a lot more about these issues than I do; I have never had the opportunity to be concerned about such things.
elkoholic
That is one heavy beamed, big bodied, mature whitetail there. Congratulations! Score? Who cares? That is the kind of buck one should be proud of. He may be a bit older than you think based on antler mass and body size. Nice. Welcome to the forums! wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Congratulations on a great deer. Looks like a 4.5 year old to me, think you are underestimating the score a bit too.
rad_112176
That is a nice buck. I would agree with wtnhunt that it is a 4.5 years old at least. I also think he might go in the low 130's net. Get him scored when you get him mounted and let us know. Congrats.
Tominator
Great deer, and I agree with the others, that deer will go better than 120, more like 125 to 130 gross. Congratulations.
JoshM
Im saying about a 3.5ish to a 4 and a score around 115-
