dogdoc
man it was cold. Arrived at the pond with the temp at 18 degrees and the pond frozen up. Waders on and start breaking ice to put the decoys out--unfortunately the water would freeze back up as soon as I would break it. Every 10 minutes I was back in the water trying to keep the decoys ice free. I had a few birds work but could not get any to commit early. Finally--very late morning had a group of teal come in and I dropped two. todd

rbduck
Cold? Our season ended the end of Nov. and the temp, if I remember, was a balmy -30 by then. Turned out be just a small "cold snap", got better after that. Point being, it sure is nice to see some folks still waterfowling at this time of year. Best of luck for the rest of your seasons folks. Tominator
Good deal Todd. Funny, I looked at that first pic, didn't think anything of it, then my son asked me to open his popsicle wrapper, so I did, looked back and all of a sudden, I saw Belle. LOL. She blends right in. 98chevy
I went to, and had the same problem. Except I set up in the swamp and got in quick sand junk. I ended up being stuck up to my shoulders. I litterly set there while my waters filled up. My brother had to get a limb and yank me out. I lost my waders as he got me out but we got um out of the mud. I then drove the coldest 1.5 miles in the rhino. My shirt was froze my pants where froze(literly). My feet purple. All for one woody. Also I know I was lucky. I felt like someone punched me in the chest and then stuck my legs with needles.
