sureshot Posted December 30, 2007 Report Share Posted December 30, 2007 I wish i coudl figure these buggers out, chrismas day I was at the farm so i grabbed my clothes and gun and went out for 4 hours whie they played cards, called 5 stands and called one single and 3 doubles, 7 coyotes in my truck in a little more than 3 hours,I was so exited about boxing day same weather everything, called all day and never called in 1, did shoot 2 not calling, this am was the same cool and fairly calm, perfect day, called till 4 pm without a responce, never seen a coyote,then got a fox and next 3 stands 3 coyotes, I payed the fuel but thats about it, I was thinking that maybe its just the wrong place but I know there are coyotes were I called, just seem like certain days they just do not call, but what I learnt is do not give up, they will call, a beginner has a couple days like this and they will quit for good!gets really hard to keep going on!really wanted one more today, I need one more good coyote to make a 100 good hides before the new year, that is a record, we need some -30 weather to be able to get my record of 168,callign for above freezing by the weekend,so hopefully theya re wrong again!
