The entire east side of Oklahoma is under Tornado Watch and several areas such as Chocotah (Kerry Underwoods home town) are now under tornado Warning!

We could be heading to the cellar for the first time in 08.... IN JANUARY!

Its crazy outside. Been in the 70's all day and now that the temps are starting to dive the weather is getting bad quick.

Rotation and damage in Tahlequah (25 miles south). A guy just called a local station. His porches are missing off his house and larger than golf ball sized hail. Two confirmed rotations.

wow. even living in tornado alley, you should get a few months off....

We typically dont see that weather until March, April, and May.... :o

Stay safe Jeramie! Crazy weather here too, after the frigid temps of -30 to -35 at night for the past 2 weeks, we're sitting at 48 degrees with pouring rain right now. We actually had a few cracks of thunder earlier this evening which I've never heard in my life until at least April! The 4 feet of snow is quickly diminishing lol. Temps are supposed to rise overnight to the mid 50s for the next 2 days then start dropping back down to normal.

Rough, rough night. We went from 74 yesterday to a high of 42 today. It made for BAD weather last night.

We finally tucked in at 9:30. Our daughter woke me up at 9:45 scared of the lighting and thunder. I rocked her for about 5 minutes and she was out again.

Then at midnight my heart lept from my chest. I heard hail come in and start hitting the windows and house. I knew it couldnt be good and told myself, "Ill get up in a minute and check the weather." I actually waited four minutes. The city blew the alarm (12:04 to be exact). We really werent prepared. During the spring you leave out a flashlight, shoes, clothes, your cell phone, etc. incase you have to make a dash for it..... Its January, we werent prepared.

I had to nudge my wife, she never heard a thing. I ran and grabbed our daughter. She grabbed the cell phone and a couple of coats. Called the dogs and began a mad sprint to the cellar. Of course the dogs didnt want to go into the cellar so I had to round them up. No leashes, again.... we werent prepared.

Still it took all of about 4 minutes, maybe. We made some calls and found out that rotation and a funnel had been seen over our town (which is pretty small). We waited about 15 minutes and got a call that the storm was over (her parents werent directly in line of the storm so they stayed in front of the tv).

We head to the house to no power. Luckily it came back on shortly. Still charged, it took about an hour to get sleepy again but the storm didnt stop so shortly after that our daughter woke us up again, "Daddy Wain (rain). Help!" The thunder scared her but it was understandable, she had just made her first memorable dash to the cellar.

So long story short (to late, I know) we finally went to sleep at roughly 2:00 but this time with a two year old between me and a pregnant lady. I was back up at 4:00 for work.....

Oh yeah, and our area received anywhere from 3"-6" of rain in a very short peroid so everything was flooded this morning.

Caffine.... Where for art thou my good and loyal friend?!

Yeah we had much of the same. Tornado warnings...hail...and LOTS of rain. We're supposed to get another 2" today too. Here are a few flood pics I took this morning.

The mighty macinaw river flexing it's muscles...

This is a dam between 2 ponds that I have to drive over to get back and forth from my house. It was pouring from one pond to the other...

Guess I'm not driving to work that way...

I just hope I can get back to my house when I get off of work. :)

I did get to go to the cellar last night.

We were watching tv last night and during the commercials would flip back to the local stations to see the warnings/watches. Our county was list on the very west edge of the watch and we live on the west edge of the county so I wasn't too concerned about it. We flipped back about 10 mins latter and we were listed in the warning. Then they came on and said there was circulation about 3 miles south of us. I ran out to the shop to get the handheld scanner and heard the sirens going of towards the west of me. I was not really prepared this early in the year yet either.
