Tom2008
I was wondering what some of you archery experts would suggest for the lowest amount of weight to drop from the bows peak draw weight. I know its generally 10lbs less than the peak weight, but is ok to go a little more? I'm target shooting with my 60lb Iron Mace and I have it cranked down to 50lbs right now and would like to go down to somewhere between 45 and 50 lbs. buckee
What is the bow rated for ? If it says 40 to 60lbs your OK with anything in between. I wouldn't go over or under the min. or max. though.
Southerngirl
It depends on how long your limb bolts are and I don't know much about those bows specifically. Martin bows have a steel barrel nut that the limb bolt threads into that is open so you can see just how far you have the limb bolts backed out so you never back them out to far, I don't know if other bows have that or not
wtnhunt
Would check with your bow manufacturer. The browning micro adrenaline my wife shoots says on the limbs in small print above both limb bolts not to go more than 4 full turns out. Her bow is supposed to be adjustable from 40 to 50 lbs.
