Deb
At Andrea, fess-up----what have you'all left in your clothing to be washed? Other than the typical change, screws , nuts, and bolts. Me?? pocket knife, watch( Timex--took a lickin' and kept on tickin'), 30-06 cartrage( thank god that got caught before the dryer!)
Guest Andrea
Well that's not the only thing. The kids have left gum, candy, pens, knives, rocks, empty 22 shells, I left a tube of lipstick once, um...let's see.......oh yeah....I've washed a couple of checks one time that were written to my husband. ( HE left them in his shirt pocket) We had to get the customers to write us more.....
Tominator
Nothing really strikes me as being all that memorable. I've lost more than a few important papers and receipts. One child of mine left an orange crayon in his/her pocket, that load came out blotchy orange, ruined more than a few articles of clothing. preacherman
Other than my cell phone..........that is about it! I was going to do my wife a favor and wash my overalls and had forgot that I left my cell phone in the bib pocket. Threw the overalls in the wash and went inside and started looking for my cell phone. Finally remembered that it was in my overalls.........went to the washer and had to fish it out. Needless to say, I got a new cell phone after that one!
Guest Finn
Nothing serious....typical pens and papers along with lots of change
RangerClay
Recently I left one of my red teacher pens in my shirt pocket and it made an aweful mess. I got a royal butt chewin' for that one.
Randy
One of my kids left a crayon in their pocket. Not a big deal in the washer but, did you know they melt in the dryer??
Guest Andrea
Know what else is fun to put in the washer? A baby diaper. It wasn't a dirty one. I think I grabbed it out of the baby bag along with the clothes. The GEL that was inside of that thing absorbed a TON of water and man, did that make a mess!!!!

OJR
Before I put my clothes in the hamper, I check all the pockets! Now my wife on the other hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has forgotten to do that and has washed several different things! At least after all these years, she won't admit to what she has washed and I DON'T ASK!!! Smart, eh???? Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
The occasional piece of paper will end up in there, or some change, but thats about it, and that doesn't happen very often. For some reason, when am at home, I have to empty my pockets. If I go some where, the majority of the time,as soon as I get home, I'll take everything out and put it together on the table. The only time I really forget is if I put a receipt in my back pocket or something, and since my wallet is always in my front left pocket, and everything else is in my front right, there is no need to check the back pockets and I usually end up forgetting about a piece of paper. Southerngirl
Nothing major, just the usual stuff. money, reciepts, pocket knives, but having boys I do occasionally wash a bunch of rocks or marbles. now my dad............ in his younger days before I come along dryed himself at a laundry mat. It seems he may have been drinking and had to do some car repairs getting his hat greasy so he washed it. His buddy's told him it would shrink if he put it in the dryer...his solution was to put the hat on and get in the dryer

Southerngirl
he said you put it on low heat and hold on you kick the door when your ready to get out. it seems a few of them tried that till the owner found out and made them stop
AdvantageTimberLou
First turkey call I ever owned, let's just say slate and a dryer do not get along. Then there was the magic marker I left in my pants pocket.......ruined a whole load of laundry....well not ruined if you didn't might black marks randomly on your clothes! Grant-KS
Just a few $1/$5 bills, picture, a few coins maybe. Buckee, the shotgun shell really wouldn't have done anything besides kick the wad and shot just out of the shell if it would have gone off. The shell has nothing to recoil against, or a barrel to seal the gasses before the wad exits the barrel. The burning gasses will expand inside the shell until it is exposed to more air, then it will just flash into mid-air barely making a sound.
