SuperMn106 Posted January 23, 2008 Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 Well tonight my girlfriend and I went and seen a couple of speakers. The speakers just happened to be Coach Boone and Coach Yost (sp) from Remember the Titans (the actual coaches). :DIt was really neat to hear them talk about the experiences. Coach Yost is a funny guy and Coach Boone will move you, one of the best public speakers I have heard. It was for remembering Martin Luther King Jr. My girlfriends sister works for the local college and she was the one who set it all up and planned it all. I gave her My Remember the Titans movie so she could get them to sign it for me. Tommorow night we are also going to the dinner they have planned and they will talk some more. We shook hands and got to talk for a minute. What a very geniune, down to earth and sincere person. What I liked the most is when we shook hands he looked me directly in the eye. We had a great meal and heard them speak again. These 2 coaches were really great coaches. Coach Yoast was coach of the year in Alabama and Virginia. Coach boone before he move to virginia compiled a 99-6 record but then the school integrated and was told the integrated school was not ready for a black head coach. How do you go 99-6 and get fired?
