Ok i've never had a new bow i mean brand new i all way's got ones from guys that had to have 1 every year so i just got theres cheap:D. But now its time for me to get one. Go to a pro shop and shoot all the different bows you can and buy which ever one you feel the most comfortable shooting. I agree all the way on this. What is wrong with picking up used bows. At archery league they were talking about a Mathews Drenalin in the Swap Sheet paper that sold for $350. Nothing wrong with keeping your eyes open for a nice used bow. With tax money due soon, there will be people hard up for money and deals to be had.
