Tominator
We got a bit of a snow the other day, and I got a taste for rabbit paprikash, so I had my wife get a couple peppers, tomatoes and sour cream, now all I had to do was hold up my end of the bargain. Got home from school today, asked the kids if any of them wanted to go out with me, they all declined so I said "how long do you think it will take me to get a rabbit?" My oldest said, "about 15 minutes." I said, "I hope it lasts longer than that." and off I went. Got beyond the gate, tracks all over, found a fresh set, followed it, but it petered out. Went over to the first brush pile, found another fresh set of tracks, gave an old Christmas tree a kick, SHOOOOOOM! out goes the bunny. I raised the trusty Montefeltro but a branch knocked the barrel down, finally got the barrel clear and shot. Well, it wasn't the best of shots, got kind of flustered with the branch, hit the rabbit in the hind end, so I ended up breaking it's neck to end it quickly. But I held up my end of the bargain for dinner Sunday. Total hunt time was under 5 minutes I'd say.
