OJR
Romney just endorsed McCain. It should be very clear sailing for McCain now! Huckabee needs to drop out!
wtnhunt
Heard earlier Huckabee has said is staying in until the end. Guess we will see. Figured by the way Romney spoke when he made his announcement that he might endorse McCain.
Missilelock
I dont think Huckabee has a shot at being elected, but I would sure rather see him in the whitehouse than a democrat disguised as a republican. I will robably have to wind p voting Mccain as the lesser of the 3 evilsi its a shame.

Tominator
Think Romney wants to be VP?
wtnhunt
Think Romney wants to be VP? Could be Chris, dont know. Really with watching him speak when he bowed out, I think he is genuinely concerned with what will take place if either of the liberal candidates wins the presidency. snapper
Why do you figure he waited so long to endorse McCain? I'll tell you why, he's playing politics. He never really "dropped" out of the campain...he simply "suspended" his campain. That way he could watch and see if Huckabee would start to catch McCain and posibly stop McCain from getting enough votes (1195 I think?) to get the nomination. At that point...none of the delgates count and can go to anyone of the candiates at the convention...since Romney didn't drop out...his name would still be on the ticket! Now that it looks like Huckabee doesn't have a chance...Romney is jumping ship so he can run in 2012 or posibly a VP job! Still not happy with McCain...but I have no choice...I'm not voting for either of the other two, and I'm not throwing my vote (voice) away because of no real good choices. Gotta take the best of the three evils and that would be McCain...with hopefully Romley as VP.
johnf
I honestly can't see why anyone would like the talking head Romney. Why the heck do you people like him? Honest question.
wtnhunt
I honestly can't see why anyone would like the talking head Romney. Why the heck do you people like him? Honest question. Romney is more conservative than McCain and he actually looked to have a shot at winning. Some people do not see him as a "talking head". johnf
Yes he is more conservative than McCain, but I don't see how he even comes close to Huckabee. He would be my number 3 pick under Ron Paul. He's never been a real conservative until he decided he wanted to be president. I don't think he could win the south. He's just as liberal as McCain on social issues and he's mormon. Most Southern Christians just wouldn't vote for him.
stevebeilgard
I honestly can't see why anyone would like the talking head Romney. Why the heck do you people like him? Honest question. romney has multiple business experiences, and can run the country. he also has lots of millions of dollars. huckabee has neither. now, huckabee may be a better president, but that is the real answer to your question, imho. I would much rather have someone who I could agree with philosophically than someone who might make my wallet fatter. I like Huck's tax plan and his record on social issues. Romney's record shows his real stance on social issues reguardless of what he may say. As far as immigration goes, I don't think any of them has a good record McCain being the worst.
