I have a Rem. 700 in .280 and shoot Rem. ammo. out of it. Normally shoot the PSP Core lokt in 150 gr. and get a pretty reliable pattern out of it. Recently switched to the 165 gr. SP Core Lokt and after doing a little shooting with it, the target looked like I was using a shotgun, no consistent pattern at all.

Find what your gun likes and stick with it.

Please let me know how your pro hunter barrel performs. I've got an Encore MZ and purchased a 20 gauge barrel to turkey hunt with. I'm considering a .280 barrel for deer hunting. I'm looking at the pro hunter barrel, the fox ridge TC custom barrel, and the EABCO accuracy barrel. I like the 28" length on the pro hunter and am curious to know how yours shoots. Thanks!
