Tom2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Report Share Posted April 9, 2008 I was wondering if anyone knew if a BAR(Broadhead Adapter Ring) was needed if you use a rage broadhead. I just bought some Easton N-Fused Axis Arrows and would like to know if its required. I read that the only mechanical broadheads that need them are ones that use the insert as a stop for the blades. From what I can tell the Rage does not use an insert as a stopper at all. You will see what I mean if you go through the step by step deployment of a Rage 2 Blade broadhead by clicking this link. So I don't understand that at all. Why would they give you specific sizes if they don't let you choose what size you want in their online store? I see what you mean, and I don't understand that myself .. :confused: But, it would seem you would need a BAR with the mechanicals with this shaft .. Tom2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 10, 2008 I put a Rage 2 Blade broadhead on my N-Fused Axis arrow today and the blades won't hit the shaft. The rage is built so the blades touch the bottom ring of the broadhead, but not the shaft. I think I've got a really deadly combination right here. And by the way, UBARS are NOT needed to shoot broadheads with the slim shafts. I use the Beaman Team Realtree MFX (Same as Axis) and I have shot Rocket Hammerheads and various NAP Mechanicals with great flight without the UBARS.
