JJL
Recently Realtree Prostaffer Steve Beilgard passed through the sleepy little community of Ridgway, where I call home. He asked if I could post a few pictures to show everyone where the Earth stops and Heaven begins. Nestled at the foot of the San Juan Mountains in SW Colorado, Ridgway is a town of 850 people who live here because we want to, not because we have to. Mule deer, Elk, Mtn. Goat, Big Horn sheep, Mtn. Lion, Bear, and Bobcat all call Ridgway home as well. If you ever are in the "neighborhood" be sure to let me know and we'll show you around. Here's some pics................... This last pic is from our new back-yard, right on the 14th fairway of the Divide Ranch and Golf Club.................momma likes to golf. JJL
Is public hunting around???? 50% of the land in our county is BLM and National Forestry land. Open to the public. If we could get those - - - - - - people from Texas to stay away it'd be nice.................just kidding Texans, thanks for the license fees and your hard earned $$$$$. Shaun_300
Awesome pics! Sure is beautiful out there. I've always wanted to see the Rockies, and now that I'm moving to Saskatchewan I'll only be 10 hours from Calgary, Alberta where one of my friends from college lives. I'll definetly be going out there for a long weekend and finally get the opportunity to see them in person.

That is what the song is all about...Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures, Jim. well, pretty close anyway. that song was penned in colorado springs at the antler hotel, by catherine bates. she wrote it after going to the top of pikes peak, and looking down. colorado springs is about 200 mies east of ridgeway.
