I know when mom broke her foot she was constantly ramming down there with a knitting needle to itch it. I'm pretty bummed about the Sens too bud, we'll have to pull for le Canadiens now.... I have pics of the staples and such where they cut my leg open to put the plate and screws in when I broke it. I am like you, my brother, don't have a desire to be in that situation again.
