Ethan Givan
This season has been the hardest turkey season I have seen in a while. There are so many hens around where I hunt that you cant get a bird to come to you. I had a gobbler coming to me just the other afternoon, but before he got to me a hen came out of the hayfield and went to him. He stopped right there and never came any closer. Anyone else had this problem?
Leo
There is NO season to kill hens here in my area of South Carolina EVER. As a result dealing with TONS of hens is a fact of every single season. The best advice I can give you is hunt every daylight hour you can. Eventually, the hens will leave the gobblers. It just takes a long time. I kill more henned up birds after 9:00am than before.
