sureshot
I am from the south and the best week I have had in the past few years is the second week of the season, around nov 20, rut is kicking in hard, a few years ago i would fo said the forest but the past couple winters has been super hard up north, according to gary Donald of big buck mag there has been a 50-60% death rate in the forest, they did bit better in the farmland! good luck!! superguide
I don't think the deer wintered quite as hard as people think-there's 100's of them running around right now.
