turningcustomcalls
I have a back injury that has kept me from hunting so far. I went and got a injection on thursday and feel better. I guess my question is; Should I wait to go out later in the day, so I can sit still longer? Also, how many of you alternate standing and sitting while on stand? willy
I had back surgery back in 1998. Took a year of work(lobster fishing seasonal)A year and half later reinjured again which put me on disability. I still hunt but can no longer sit for long periods. I sit for 15-20 mins. stand for 15-20. it works great for me.

Doc
Before worrying about HOW to do it, I hope you have verified with your doctor whether or not you SHOULD BE doing it. Be sure that the nature of the injury still allows such stress activities as drawing your bow and climbing and sitting in a stand, and dragging a deer if successful. There are some injuries that can be converted from temporary injuries to permanent injuries by being a bit too reckless, too soon. Guest hunter-greg
I was wondering the same thing. I have a pinched Sciatic nerve that causes my back to get stiff if I sit too long. After the IN youth hunt this weekend, my back is really sore and stiff from sitting on a stool in a ground blind with my daughter. Hopefully, it will loosen up this weekend for the start of bow season.
