heiner39
Does anyone have experience with Cabelas Inferno 2000 Pac Boot? I'm hunting in Saskatchewan and temps can dip down quite low as most of you probably know. I'm looking for a very warm boot to wear during the rifle season for deer (Nov 17 opener). They are affordable...just wondering what they are like comfort/durability/warmth wise.

GWSmith
I dont know if this will help you out or not...but whatever boot you decide on consider getting you a pair that is actually a size or two bigger than you would normally wear! Airspace inside the boot is critical to having good circulation of the blood in your feet. After we add a couple layers of heavy weight socks to keep our feet warm we often forget that decreases the space inside the boots. It's then squeezing our feet in the process. Circulating blood in our feet is the body's natural "AntiFreeze";) The most difficult part is getting used to boots that are not tight. I just bought my Father a pair of Guide Gear boots that have 2000 grams of insulation in them. His feet are size 11 and the boots I got him were size 13. He called and said they were way too big. I asked him to put on a couple pair of the wool socks he owns and try them on again. He called back and said it felt like he was walking on pillows but his feet were so hot he had to take them off after walking around in them for 5 minutes! Hope this helps;)
deer nut
i have hunted saskatchewan the last 3years and have used the saskatchewan pac boot from cabelas and have not had cold feet only draw back is they are hard to walk in (but i keep them loose to keep the blood flowing) so if you do not have to walk very far these boots work!! Flintlock1776
Good tip GW. I only went 1 size bigger in the past. I have to go one more up I reckon.
JJL
I bought a pair of the Predator Extreme's last year, similar product. Definate quality for the price in these boots, x-tra warm and VERY well made. Order 2 sizes big for the correct fit.
Missed160
I was at Cabelas this summer, looking for boots for a Canadian hunt - I tried these on & they were very uncomfortable for my feet. They really did look like nice well made boots, but even the wide width was to narrow for me. I instead purchased the Switchback 1400 gram..
