i have a climber on the creek about 200 or 300 yards from the cabin and have bowhunted it the past four weekends and havent seen anything. Was trying to get some help on moving it or just staying put. And if you look at the picture the wind usually blows from the north east and the north if you are looking at the picture is that white box to the far right.

If you have not seen anything in four weekends 2 things are for sure: 1. You've seen nothing. 2. Every deer knows your there.

I'd be tempted to move to the bottom(south end) of the northern most black line(east of the north cut field) to give it a shot instead of burning out where you've been any longer.

Pretty much anywhere is better at this point right?

I used to be the kind of person when I was younger that hunted an area I liked thinking:

"Sooner or later I'll see deer movement and get a shot"

Dont be like I used to be...Thinking that way I saw 3 deer in 10 years and only got one shot and missed that chance.

The property I hunt is similar in a way in regards to the creek, has a winding old river channel with hardwoods, rolling hills but does have some open bottom land along it. If you know where the deer are crossing, I would suggest setting up off a main trail where they are crossing the water.

I would also consider somewhere along the powerlines.

two years ago my buddy hunted the same spot almost just like forty yards down the creek which i can see and he used to see deer every day. I know its changed it little b/c this year the white oak just isnt purducing anything and there is more hunting pressure from the people on the other side of the creek. but i walked in the creek most of the way about 1 to 2 months ago and the place where i saw more than just a couple tracks crossing was the spot i am hunting. Not sure if i should get half way up the hill or just closer to the food source. any thoughts

What is the rest of the property where the large fingers of hard woods are? Thicket? I would say that they deer might be coming in throught those fingers of hard woods especially if there are and acorns along the trail. What is in the open area in the middle? Looks like a good spot for a food plot.

I think this photo was in the fall b/c the green parts are pines. it is alot of hard woods, but this year the white oaks just didnt produce. a couple did but not like they used to. and There are two fields but they were planted last year and just cut this year. But on the power line and the small field was planted with a clover mix and it started coming up about week ago.
