AceArcher
What do you guys think of Bobby Jindal. He is the Indian-American govoner or Louisiana and one of the likely GOP 2012 candidates for President. Do you think he is a christian? Do you wonder if he was born in the United States. He is linked to Hindu terrorists? Better start researching b/c this is the Repulican parties new guy.

Texan_Til_I_Die
I don't really know enough yet about Jindal to judge whether or not he would be a good president, but I will say this. I have no problem with his ancestry (parents are from India and came to the U.S. legally in 1970), his religion (converted to Catholicism as a teenager) or any past association with known terrorists (either foreign or domestic). As long as he is a genuine conservative, I can support him.
tp793
Coach J- Based on your posts in other threads, I'm going to say that you should probably do a little research on the people that you post about. Jindal is definetely in the running for the 2012 GOP.
wtnhunt
Know a little about Jindal. We will soon see who are going to be the potential candidates for 2012 and will be learning much more about them.
oldksnarc
Recent poll showed him only with 4% at this time for President in 2012. Besides his only experience is as a Governor. Not enough according to some yet more than the one elected. Palin was at 68% and Romney and Huckabee in low teens in same poll.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Shoot, I actually enjoy it when liberals get on here and get active. It gives me an opportunity to rip their "arguments" to shreds by presenting my own brand of cool headed conservatism. And who knows, given enough time, and assuming those liberals are not yet totally blinded to reality, I might just make one or two of them realize the error of their ways. AceArcher
Never heard of him and doubt anyone ever will. Lay off the persanl attacks. This is a forum called "politics". You don't have to post in here if you don't want. Perhaps you should request a forum called "closed minded President bashers". If you make an intelligent position based on "conservitism" I am not going to attack you...but if you call someone a "terrorist" or other smear just b/c you can't articulate any better arguements then I take offense to that. There are many sportmen that support President Elect Obama. As far as deer hunting goes...Obama won every state that I would ever want to deer hunt....IL, IA, WI, IN, OH. You can keep the deer in TN:D. In most rural counties in these big buck/Obama states he won 40 to 48% and even won some rural counties outright. What does that tell you...there are many outdoorsmen/women and country folk who voted, supported and donated money to President Elect Obama. If you don't want to have a debate on the issues then you probably shouldn't come into the "political" area. You might not have heard of Bobby Jindal but he is the govoner of LA born to two non-us born parents and raised as a Hindu. Muslims worship the same God as Christians do...but Hindus worship hudreds of gods.

Texan_Til_I_Die
... What does that tell you...there are many outdoorsmen/women and country folk who voted, supported and donated money to President Elect Obama...Well, I don't know about the "country folk" part, but somebody dang sure did. Obama had $650 million to spend vs $84 million for McCain. Combined with all of the free coverage from the MSM and it's amazing that McCain got as close as he did. Until the Republican Party figures out how to tap into the types of massive fundraising organizations like the Democrats have through MoveOn.org, America Coming Together, ACORN, etc, they'll never be able to compete on a national level. What does that tell you...there are many outdoorsmen/women and country folk who voted, supported and donated money to President Elect Obama Anyone can create a website to say just about anything. I think if you researched it and found the true facts you would find that you are in a very small percentage of hunters/gunowners who voted for Obama. Why don't you find the numbers and come back with facts to the debate rather than speculating.

LifeNRA
big buck/Obama states he won 40 to 48% and even won some rural counties outright. What does that tell you...there are many outdoorsmen/women and country folk who voted, supported and donated money to President Elect Obama. Wait a minute! He won them states, not because the hunters there voted for him. Of all people in these states, I am willing to bet that hunters were probably less than 5% of the votes he got. The rest were non-hunters. I don't have info to say on this. But if you do please post it! Funny thing here in PA. Travel in the cities, all you seen was obo signs. Get out in the county areas, 99% was McCain signs. Go figure! But then naturally there are more people in the cities, which means more voters! AceArcher
Ok. Here you go. Take a look a rural counties for yourself. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/ Here are a few I looked up where I would bet my paycheck that a very large % of voters are hunters or in hunting families. Pike, IL. -- Obama 40% - McCain 58% Fulton, IL Obama 60% - McCain 38% Buffallo, WI - Obama 57% - McCain 42% Lee, IA - Obama 58% - McCain 41% Adams, OH Obama 37% - McCain 61% Kleberg, TX Obama 53% - McCain 46% Pretty cool map. Interesting to note... Obama did not win even one county in Oklahma...some of you should seriously consider moving to the sooner state or the Texas Panhandle. Just kidding so don't blow any gaskets but it is interesting. I couldn't find any exit polls that talked specifically about hunters or gun owners but I can speak from personal experiance. In my circle of hunters and gun owners almost all voted more Obama though there were some exceptions. We are pretty hardcore when it comes to whitetails with bows and firearms but admittly we are not "gun nuts". Many of my friends are working class and in union jobs so that probably explains a lot. DocMort
So mainly what I am getting from ace is that his poll of his friends are the trends for the whole nation. I am willing to bet on that fact. The numbers you showed were interesting but it just took in some of the counties most states have many rural counties but 2 or 3 big cities. Typically cities win the vote. Second I don't associate with any non working class being in the service, and I can tell you from talking that moist service members the ones who Obama says he is going to pull out of Iraq right away disagree and are disgraced by what our PEOPLE did, He is not president yet just remember that
DocMort
Sorry guys got a little off topic in the last post.... Bobby Jindal stands about a good a chance being elected or even being chosen by the GOP as an ice cube does on MSR Tampa.... But overall, I can tell you that as was said before it is proven he did convert to Catholicism and I did find a picture someplace with an American Flag on his lapel.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Better Choice? Who is to say
wtnhunt
I think you are making a pretty poor assumption there Ace. Big city of Memphis/Shelby county for obvious reasons went to Obama, Obama won what 96 or 98% of the black vote. In the rural areas here we saw plenty of McCain Palin signs, I saw not one single Obama sign anywhere. Most the people I talked with(hunters gun owners) in this area were scared to death of Obama getting in, and with the overwhelming win for McCain in this state it was pretty obvious that was how they voted. oldksnarc
Sportsmen for Obama - wouldn't that be an oxymoron? It would even be laughable if the potential wasn't so scary.
