mathews4life
I was just wondering if the lady bugs are as horrible anywhere else than as they are here. The last couple yrs they have become an obsolute pest when we are hunting in our box blinds. As long as its cold they dont bother u but as soon as it warms up a little they are EVERYWHERE. They crawl down my gun barrel and get anywhere else they possibly can. I vacuumed prolly over a 1000 of them around the lights in our camp last night (not jokin). I was just wondering if anyone else was having and noticed their rise in population??

Guest DJR
Re: Lady Bugs We get a bettle up here that looks just like a Lady Bug, comes out once the weather heats up and they drive me nuts!!!
HuntingInMaine
Re: Lady Bugs We have a lot of them here in Maine. They will start to come out when (and if) we have a warm day. I think people have bought them to help with garden pests and they have really taken off.

LifeNRA
Re: Lady Bugs Two years ago, when my brother took my father and I up to this little farm his in-laws own. We noticed a lot of lady bugs laying around the window sills. But when we went down in the basement, MY GOD, I never seen sooooooooo many ladybugs! You could not see the floor of the basement! They were all dead, what little we did walk, they crunched like dry leaves!
HarvDog
Re: Lady Bugs I haven't really seen a problem with ladybugs where I hunt but they are definitely a problem where I work. They swarm all over the building and somehow even get inside through the windows. It's crazy!
Tominator
Re: Lady Bugs Their population depends on the number of soybean aphids in your area. If the beetles you're talking about are the Asian lady beetle, they were imported here to take care of aphids. Our population of them here this year wasn't too bad because the bean aphid numbers were down this year. 2 years ago was a different story, we were inundated with them. Spray your blinds with a little Sevin, that will take care of them.
wtnhunt
Re: Lady Bugs They seem to be getting worse and worse here from one year to the next. Once the leaves start falling off the trees, they are everywhere, even have some get into the house, cannot figure out where they are coming in.
