First gut it, then spray down the whole thing with a water hose (keeps hair from getting everywhere). Lay it down take a hatchet or knife cut off the tail legs and head at apporiate places then make a small sliver in the fur in the middle top of the back work your fingers into the hole and pull you will have a clean hairless rabbit/squirrel. Once you pull off the hair from the body your done and your not having to cut off feet and the tail after the meat is exposed. In my expieriences its very hard to get all of the hair off of the meat. Tominator Posted January 6, 2009 Report Share Posted January 6, 2009 Wow. That was a long way around that rabbit. I take a pair of rose snippers. Snip off the head, legs and tail, insert the pointy end down the pelvis, split that and then shuck the fur.
