pendog
I need to upgrade my cell phone (verizon says i need to:)) What ones do you all use? I was thinking of a palm or blackberry. I just hate bulky phones and they are big.
The_Kat
easily go with the blackberry. Palms are horrible phones. Check out their ratings on a simple google search. They are rated poorly. Blackberrys are great phones....just a lil fragile. I love mine, I just wish it were built a lil tougher. Invest in a phone condom....they are well worth the 20$. ksbowhntr77
I agree with KAT, I've got a Blackberry Curve, BEST phone I've had yet, more toys than you can think of and the internet is pretty good, and it's not too aweful big either. And yes get the phone cover of some kind helps alot. JMHO KS
preacherman
Blackberry's are nice. I actually have the curve myself and have had no problems out of it. If you are wanting a tough phone, I have heard the Samsung Rugby is a tough phone.
OUTSIDER
I have a Samsung Rugby....It is absoultely indestructible....the guy in the att store back home has ran over the store model mutiple times, and it is still in perfect working condition. It is approved by the military and water resistant. Its nice.
Cajun-101
Don't get the palm.. i had one & it lasted about 2 months. I had not purchased the insurance because i never broke any other phones. Well i tryed to get it fixed from the palm website. They kept givng me the run around & after the 250 dollar fee to fix it broke again. Now i have a blackberry & it fell a couple times but still is working fine. I'd go with the blackberry again if i had to buy another. Cajun
Adjam5
If you like gadgets the crackberrys are good. I have Verizon also, and have the Gzone. It is mil spec, water proof and shock resistant. I have dropped it out of my tree, out of the car and don't worry about it in the rain. I don't try to get it wet, but when it does, I don't worry nearly as much as when I had a Samsung or other delicate phones. The battery cover is held with a screw latch and it has a big bumper on it for shock absorbsion. I have had this phone 2 years now and I am hard on phones. It is durable. Thats what I looked for in a cell phone.

pendog
That Gzone looks tough, i am not terribly hard on my phones but that one gives you some peace of mind that it wont break.
GWSmith
I've been researching some phones myself lately and found a decent website that shows alot of specs. Some of you may be interested in this site below. It seems to have a few different phone reviews on it and looks like they have a bunch of SOFTWARE TOOLS for different brands if you scroll down on the left. http://mobile.softpedia.com/phones/BlackBerry/
