(AP) - A New Hampshire man is hospitalized in serious condition after his horse-drawn, homemade wagon was hit by an 18-wheeler on a Mississippi highway. Police say Bob Skelding was traveling on Highway 45 in central Mississippi near the Alabama state line yesterday when the tractor-trailer hit the wagon. 2 of the four horses pulling the wagon were killed. Skelding had been on the road since August in his wagon, which was built from scratch. It weighed 7,700 pounds and looked like an RV, complete with a bed, bathroom, shower and a kitchen. In a blog entry posted the day before the accident, Skelding said he had visited Macon, Miss., where he had met "some really terrific people." coles Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 man thats horrible. we had an incident kinda similar to that a couple months ago just outside of my lil hometown. One of my grandpas friends had just bought some cows from another guy that lived maybe 5 or 6 miles down the road from him so they were drivin the cows down the highway to his house. An older man was comin down the road in his pickup and plowed right through the middle of the cows. 3 or 4 cows were killed and at least that many were hurt bad.
