Since they tore it, did they give you free postage on the second one? I think I know the answer to this but I had to ask. The USPS really gets on my nerves. The USPS really gets on my nerves. Have had repeated issues with the usps here, and we are still not so sure that the fraudulent charges on our cabelas card a couple weeks ago was not a result of our mail being misdelivered. Kind of wish the few bills we are not able to pay electronically would get away from snail mail. I do as little as I possibly can through the usps. Sent an 8x10 photo in a photo mailer with do not bend all over it. It came back ripped and taped together. Complained to the local postmaster to no avail. I deliver all my outgoing mail to the post office after an incident where one creditor did not receive payment. The check was sent on time, but never showed up as cashed. Lost or stolen??? Now more than ever we need to be diligent with the mail. Everyday there are more reasons for people to do stupid stuff...
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I once suggested to the mailman when he announced an increase. I told him that they should take a page from the candy bar companies so instead of raising the rates just make the stamps smaller.

Yep, could not agree more Mike, fraud is going to get worse for sure. We quit putting our outgoing mail in our box probably 3 or 4 years ago. We have had numerous issues with not getting our mail that we have taken to the postmaster, and had in the past had issues with occasionally getting other people's mail. Have had bills that we paid(sent by mail) that ended up not ever getting where they were supposed to too. Getting other people's mail was never really an issue even though that happened about once every two weeks or so, we used to drop it in the box in town or put it back in our box with the flag up so at least it would hopefully get to the rightful recipient. Since our last problem last year with the wife never getting her w-2 from her employer I cannot recall getting other people's mail. Ruth, you need to call the postmaster and initiate a complaint. Might not do any good, but at least you can bring it to their attention.
stevebeilgard
the REALLY bad news here is that the post office may very well be the best run of all the government agencies.. how scary is that?

Doe-ee
Canada Post isn't much better. A while back someone in our town sent a letter to someone in Cumberland (about 5min. drive from us). Canada post sent it to Cumberland Great Britain who sent it on to Cumberland Australia before it was finally sent back to sender.By that time the letter was irrelevant as it took a full year to come back:eek: We regularly get mail intended for someone on another street but with the same house numbers. Steve has spent enough time picking up our mail from there and delivering theirs to earn a few government paychecks. They don't think so.
