I bought a ......

Well after Christmas I treated myself to another new bow. This will be my 5th one since I started bow hunting in 2004. This is one is a little more special than the rest though. I always wanted one of these since I started. I bought a 2007 Hoyt Vulcan. I shot the Alphamax, Vectrix, and Katera and yes I loved all of them, but I know Hoyt will have something amazing in a few years that I'll want to buy. I couldn't pass the deal up on this bow. I made a clean trade of my used 08 Black Ice for this new 2007 Vulcan. The 6 inch brace height feels like a 7 inch and its smooth. Not to mention a quick one too. The Katera was based off this bow. They just changed the cams on it for 5 more fps.

Here she is all rigged up. I've read about this Hoyt Fraternity Club on here? Is it possible for another member Kat? ;)

2007 Hoyt Vulcan

27 " DL & 60 lb. DW

Extreme TS Hunter Sight .019 Pin in Realtree AP

QAD Pro Rest in Realtree AP

Woodsman II 8 in. Posten Stabilizer

I've got it shooting a 5 spot and 3D league to break it in. So far I'm loving the scores.

Only your fifth bow since 2004.....Dude, you got to try new things!!!!

I've probably gone through just as many sights, rests, stabilizers, and arrows since then. :D I love trying out new things because it widens my knowledge on other people's products too. Working in retail for Archery its kind of something that you have to do.

Well I've shot the old Easton XX75 Aluminums, Gold Tip XT, Carbon Express Maxima and Hunter, Carbon Force Radial X Weave Predators, and Easton Axis N-Fused. To be honest the Carbon Express Maximas and Radial X Weaves are pretty close in comparison for durability and weight. I have to say I love my Easton Axis N-Fused arrows though. They fly great and they have great penetration. Every customer I recommended them to loves them. After they threw a G5 Striker on top of that they were speechless with the results.
