Having tuning probs.

I won't be able to respond to this thread for a few weeks, so bare with me. I am having a problem with lining up my sight, rest and strings. I laser shot the string, rest and sight but for some reason, my sight will not line up with the laser. I can't move it over far enough for the laser to hit it along with the string, cams and rest as well. It's a little too far to the left and the only thing I can think of is to put a spacer in between the sight mount and the riser. Confusing as all get out and it seems like maybe the knock laser isn't as accurate as it's supposed to be. Any thoughts as to what I need to do to ensure the tuning? I have a basic knowledge about tuning but this one has me a little confused. I haven't shot any of my new arrows since I put my new rest and sight on. Trying to start out right the first time.
