Has anybody ever heard of a Mcpherson bow? My buddy has one that I was going to buy before I decided to buy my Martin Tracer. I've looked online and can't really find much information about the Mcpherson. Any info you could share would be appreciated.

Thanks

McPherson bows are a line owned by Mathews owner/founder Matt McPherson. He sold the name back in the late 80s early 90s and just recently bought them back. I believed they were owned by Pearson, not positive though. I'm not sure of any previous years models, but the new Monster bow is a Mcpherson line put out by Mathews.

McPherson is basially a Matthews bow, just like Reflex is made by Hoyt...

Not exactly. I think you might be thinking of the Mission line.

The older Mcpherson bows were from Matts first company. He sold it, then started todays Mathews company in 1991. Hoyts Relfex, and Bowtechs Diamond are brands put out by those companies, like Mission is a brand put out by Mathews. The Mcpherson is still a Mathews brand bow, but it is a line or series of bows, not brand, with Solocam being their main line.

That is where I read about the merger also. Using cars as an example, Chevy makes the cavalier and the camaro, ford makes the escort and the taurus. Mathews makes the switchback XT and the reezen 6.5 so years ago before the merger of Mcpherson and Pearson, what Mcpherson "model" did Mcpherson come out with?
