A Great Day!

After the past few days, this was a great day!

We have our country fair and rodeo going and today was the parade.

I was on a float for the first time in my life. It was for the Valley Veterans Council. We had members of the American Legion, VFW, Fleet Reserve and the 148th Combat Engineers.

We were number 74 in line and I don't know how many units were behind us.

As we were going along, a young boy, I am guessing 2 to 3 years old, gets up and salutes us as we were passing by. I couldn't get my camera out quick enough! What a sight to see this young lad do that!

Sure brightened up a bad week!

Tomorrow, my wife and I are taking our two youngest granddaughters to the fair and the rodeo.

I am going to need a vacation after all this! LOL!!

Orlan,

Thanks for serving our country! I am glad that you had a great time , you deserve it! That little boy was raised right for sure!

Thanks again for making our country safe and free!

The Oitker's

Couldn't have said it better myself. That is one young man who has been raised right and taught to support and show respect for our soldiers rather than treat them like dirt. His parents should be proud. Orlan, like the Oitker's said, THANK YOU for serving our country, and as said above, that little boy sure knows where his loyalties lie! There still are people out there raising there kids right, I was beginning to wonder! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!;)
